Senior Data Engineer (MCR) ScaleUP

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our client’s team in Manchester. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data solutions to meet our clients’ needs and ensure the highest quality of service is provided.

Responsibilities:

• Previous experience in a role related to data or analytics engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement data models that effectively support analytical tasks.
• Proficient in identifying and resolving problems, enhancing performance, and devising efficient solutions for data-centric issues.
• Strong skills in managing relationships with stakeholders and working collaboratively.
• Self-motivated and capable of initiating and driving projects independently.
• Expertise in SQL is essential, with proficiency in Python considered a plus.
• Experience with contemporary data technologies such as BigQuery, Snowflake, and Databricks.
• Familiarity with ELT tools and platforms, including fivetran and dbt.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts in understandable terms and keep users informed about data developments.
• Highly adaptable and flexible, prepared to take on various tasks in a dynamic team setting.
• Resilient, with a focus on personal growth and a passion for learning and self-improvement.
• Understanding of the significance of data governance and documentation, and incorporating these practices into regular work.
• Experience in start-ups or rapidly growing companies is beneficial.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies is preferred.
