Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Description:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will lead projects in Mechanical Building Services Design (stages 1 to 6). ou’ll also oversee plant room layouts and air source/ground source systems. Beyond project leadership, you’ll produce and review calculations, analyses, drawings, and technical reports, bringing subject matter expertise to Mechanical Engineering Design.

Heating Systems Design:
- Develop innovative and energy-efficient heating system designs for diverse building types.

Hot and Cold Water Services Design:
- Design efficient and reliable hot and cold water services systems to meet project requirements.

Ventilation and Heat Recovery Systems Design:
- Create ventilation and heat recovery system designs for optimal indoor air quality and energy efficiency.

Above Ground Drainage Systems Design:
- Design above-ground drainage systems with a focus on sustainability and compliance.

HVAC Systems Design:
- Develop HVAC system designs for effective heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.

HVAC Control Systems:
- Implement and optimize HVAC control systems to enhance energy performance and occupant comfort.

Air Conditioning & Cooling Systems Design:
- Design state-of-the-art air conditioning and cooling systems tailored to project specifications.

Mechanical Plant Room Design:
- Create efficient and well-organized mechanical plant room designs for seamless system integration.

Air Source and Ground Source Systems Design:
- Develop environmentally conscious air source and ground source system designs for sustainable projects.
Role Specifics:
- Provide Mechanical Services Design for low-energy buildings in various sectors.
- Lead Mechanical Building Services Design projects through all stages (1 to 6).
- Produce, review, and approve calculations, analyses, drawings, models, and technical reports.
- Offer subject matter expert knowledge on Mechanical Engineering Design.
- Act as a mentor for Junior Mechanical Engineers.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of technical systems within the business.
- Maintain strong client relationships to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
Essential Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the Building Services Sector.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Building Services Related Degree/Apprenticeship.
