Location: Remote (UK), occasional travel across Europe

Salary: Competitive (typically £40,000 – £65,000 with benefits)

With a focus on sustainability and cutting-edge technology, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Pre Sales Engineer to join the team and support growth in the UK and European markets.

Job Description:

As a Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth and expanding market presence in the construction and renewable energy sectors. You will work closely with the sales & Engineering team to provide technical expertise and support throughout the pre-sales process, from initial customer engagement to project proposal and solution design.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and objectives.
  • Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients, showcasing the benefits and features of products and solutions.
  • Assess customer needs and propose tailored solutions that address their specific challenges and objectives.
  • Develop detailed technical proposals and quotations, including scope of work, pricing, and implementation timelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, product development, and project management, to ensure alignment between customer requirements and proposed solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the sales team during customer meetings, negotiations, and contract discussions.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market developments, and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Occasionally travel across Europe to attend customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in a pre-sales engineering or technical sales role, preferably in the construction or renewable energy sector.
  • Strong technical background with knowledge of drying processes, material handling, or similar technologies.
  • Experience working with customers in industries such as pharmaceuticals, agriculture, or related fields is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe for customer meetings and events.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
